With graduation approaching very quickly, I’m applying to Master’s Programs within the field of Education. My ultimate career goal is to be a History and/or Psychology professor. As a first gen student I felt the need to “go big or go home”, so I eventually want to obtain my PhD sometime in the future.

Some things I hope to do after graduation is move out of my parents’ home and live on my own with some friends. I would also like to do some out of state traveling, specifically near the East Coast. Some day I hope to live in a cute home just on the outskirts of Seattle, Washington. Until then, I am constantly thrifting pieces of art and collecting ideas through Pinterest of what I’d like my own space to be once I’m moved out.

My name is Amanda Robles (she/her) and I am a fourth year, psychology major/history minor at Whittier College. I grew up in Pico Rivera, CA. with my grandparents in a traditional, Mexican household. Within my family, I’m the first to attend college as well as graduating! (Shout out to all first gens out there!) I will be graduating May of 2022 and I’m very excited to further my education in grad school.

I have many interests such as music, art, gardening, baking, and traveling. On breaks and weekends you can find me hanging out with friends or family! I love walking my dogs at the park and doggie beaches (Roxie & Lulu- Miniature Pinchers & Molly- Dachshund).
